Every year at mulberry time I say “We should plant a mulberry tree.” Maybe we should plant one. Maybe we will plant one. Maybe we’d put a white sheet down at mulberry time to catch the berries when they fall. A dark red-purple sheet would be even better. The neighbors are so nice to plant that mulberry tree. I took three berries off their tree without asking. I wish I’d known about this traffic before I drove into it.  I wish I’d picked even more berries and left a dark red-purple sheet as a thank-you present. The government is so nice to plant those yellow flowers next to the interstate. Thank you, government. This poem is for you.
